چکیده

Suppose that a group of individuals owns collectively a technology which produces a consumption good by means of a (possibly heterogeneous) input. A sharing rule associates input contributions with a vector of consumptions that are technologically feasible. We show that the set of allocations obtained by any continuous sharing rule contains Pareto e‰cient allocations. We also present a mechanism that implements in Nash equilibrium the Pareto e‰cient allocations contained in an arbitrary sharing rule.

The possibility of efficient provision of a public good in voluntary participation games

In this study, we provide the conditions for efficient provision of a public good in a participation game in which the public good is provided in units of non-negative integers. In the case in which at most one unit of the public good can be provided, we provide refinements of Nash equilibria at which agents choose only the Nash equilibrium with efficient allocations and provide sufficient cond...

A multi-objective model for closed-loop supply chain optimization and efficient supplier selection in a competitive environment considering quantity discount policy

Supplier selection and allocation of optimal order quantity are two of the most important processes in closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) and reverse logistic (RL). So that providing high quality raw material is considered as a basic requirement for a manufacturer to produce popular products, as well as achieve more market shares. On the other hand, considering the existence of competitive environ...

A game theoretical approach for pricing in a two-level supply chain considering advertising and servicing

This paper considers the advertising, pricing, and service decisions simultaneously to coordinate the supply chain with a manufacturer and a retailer. The amount of market demand is influenced by advertising, pricing and service decisions. In this paper, three well-known approaches to the game theory, including the Nash, the Stackelberg-retailer, and the cooperative game are exploited to study ...

An equilibrium closure result for discontinuous games

For games with discontinuous payoffs Simon and Zame (Econometrica 58:861–872, 1990) introduced payoff indeterminacy, in the form of endogenous sharing rules, which are measurable selections of a certain payoff correspondence. Their main result concerns the existence of a mixed Nash equilibrium and an associated sharing rule. Its proof is based on a discrete approximation scheme “from within” th...

Balancing public bicycle sharing system by defining response rates for destinations

Public Bicycle Sharing System (PBSS) is used as a way to reduce traffic and pollution in cities. Its performance is related to availability of bicycles for picking up and free docks to return them. Existence of different demand types leads to the emergence of imbalanced stations. Here, we try to balance inventory of stations via defining maximal response rates for each type of rental request. I...
